Course Overview

Start:     Lakeside Ave, Mount Beauty

Finish:   Camp St, Beechworth

Scenic but tough day in the heart of Ned Kelly country.  The 11 km climb to Stanley only 10 km before the finish makes this stage far from straightforward.  The finish into Beechworth promises to shake up the GC battle.

STAGE PROFILE

The Word from the Race Director

“This is a magnificent stage!

Expect a reduced bunch finish.  With the Stanley climb so close to the finish it is not a pure sprinters stage, more a day for the tough sprinters.  If they put the hammer down after the climb it could be a quick finish”
