Racing kicks off for the women at the world-famous Phillip Island Circuit. Home to the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and the Australian round of the Superbike World Championships, the circuit will play host to a different type of bike come January 30.

A super smooth surface will see some very fast racing from men, however the potential for strong winds off the Bass Coast blowing straight across the circuit could see the race split up.

A day for the sprinters.

The Word from the Men’s Race Director – Scott McGrory

“Smooth, fast and beautiful is the best way to describe the Phillip Island GP Circuit. The riders will appreciate racing on such a well-known track with so much history. While it’s not completely flat it is very fast and is well suited to the speedsters of the peloton. But if the wind off Bass Straight picks up, as it often does, it will be a tougher day than some may have expected.”
