After the success of this circuit in 2019, the race returns to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne for a spectacular inner-city finale.
With tired legs in the peloton, this is the last chance at glory for any sprinters left or rouleurs looking to make an impact.
With the overall Tour winner all but confirmed, this will be a formality for the leading general classification teams. Stage 5 is the perfect chance for spectators to enjoy the racing, with 22 laps of the Royal Botanic Gardens including the Anderson Street hill.

The Word from the Race Director
“The atmosphere for the final stage will be awesome. Last year the pressure did not let up from the start and the average speed of the stage was incredible. A strong breakaway group dominated the 2019 stage and I expect another break to try its luck at holding off the rampaging peloton in the final laps and deny the sprinters their chance at glory. That said, this should be a stage for the fastest men. However Anderson Street Hill and the final two tight corners will ensure that the winner of the final stage is not just fast and strong, but also skilled and brave.”
